I was born in 1979 in a small Swiss mountain village. I grew up in the forest, hiking in the Alps and swimming in clear, cold lakes.

​

I actually wanted to be an actress. Instead I studied International Affairs and Cultural Management, organised cultural projects and founded a communications firm with my partner.

After the fifth home birth, we left Switzerland in 2013. We had an old steel yacht in Portugal and two needs: freedom and self-determination. We could neither sail nor did we know anything about boats. For twelve years we were on the move, living in 17 countries and crossing the Atlantic twice. Our sixth child was born on the boat in the Caribbean.

In 2025 we returned to Switzerland. The longing for the sea has remained.
